Guitarist James Moody has lived on Catalina Island since 1990 and is the first choice for live music and DJ.
James attended California Institute of the Arts, (Cal-Arts), in Valencia, California, and U.C.L.A. for music studies. Before moving to the island he played live shows, concert tours, and recording sessions with various atrists.

Everybody’s musical tastes are different so we customize our music for each event to assure that you get exactly what you want; live Classical guitar or Smooth Jazz for a wedding ceremony or cocktail reception; D.J. for dinner and dancing, etc.
Our DJ music library is always current and we have over five thousand song titles plus a Wi-Fi connected system to access virtually any song ever recorded.
The DJ can M.C. your event and make all announcements and introductions. We offer a worksheet that addresses every aspect of a wedding day from pre-ceremony to the last dance.
We have a wireless mic available for you and your guests to pass around for toasts or speeches.
Equipment
The Music Isle has state of the art equipment for a professional sound and can accommodate any setting from a sandy beach "off the grid" to the largest venues. All of our equipment is insured and The Music Isle is a member of A.S.C.A.P.
